GMIS Accreditation Program® is a program designed to help organizations implement a standard level of best practices. The program is designed to provide a framework leveraging the IT industry's latest standards and provide support to help complete the process, regardless of the size of the organization or IT staff.

What does the GMIS Accreditation Program® cover?
The GMIS Accreditation Program® covers the following 5 Information Technology areas:

• Security
• Strategy
• Governance
• Operations
• Continuous Improvement

One component of the GMIS Accreditation Program® is the Technology Assessment Planning Program (TAPP™). TAPP™ is a framework that is incorporated into an online portal to help participating organizations self-assess, manage, and report on their conformance against the framework requirements. All GMIS Agency members are eligible to subscribe to GMIS TAPP.

GMIS International has partnered with SAM For Compliance to help deliver the TAPP™ framework and operate the program self-assessment.

Who is eligible?

All GMIS agency members are eligible. Even members that have smaller IT staffs or contract IT work are eligible. The accreditation helps to ensure the agency’s contractor work efforts meet minimum industry standards.
