Annual Professional Award
Martha (Susie) Masters
This year's winner hails from Ownesboro, Kentucky. Her director
submitted her name and accomplishments, Mr. Harvey Sopher.
Our 1998 MISAPA award goes to Martha (Susie) L. Masters. Ms.
Masters, who prefers Susie, has held many positions with the Information Services
department in Owensboro. She started as data entry operator and made the progression
to programmer, programmer/analyst, senior programmer/analyst to her current position of
manager of application programming.
Through 16 years, Susie continued to not only progress through
different IS jobs but she also showed great resolve in completing a bachelor's degree in
business and an associates degree in computer science by going through Brecia College's
weekend program.
Susie's director puts it best, "I have been associated with
Susie Masters since August 1980. I am impressed with her abilities. Through
dedication and commitment, her professional development continues to
advance." "Susie takes an analytical approach to solving
problems. She exhibits the vision to look at the individual tasks in the context of
the big picture and she sees problems to be solved but as challenges and opportunities to
utilize her skills and abilities."
Congratulations, Susie Masters, on being this year's
MISAPA. All of you attending this year's conference in Ft. Lauderdale will get a
chance to congratulate Susie in person. She will receive an all expense paid trip to
the conference and will receive her award during the conference proceedings.
