Recognition Award

             New Chapter Recognition Award will be awarded for the previous Fiscal year,  each year (beginning with the 2006-2007 at the 2007 GMIS International conference) to recognize the chapter, that best represents GMIS achieved goals and services for its members. This year 2005-2006  recognition went to  the South Carolina Chapter for their chapter activities, the publication of the Bug, the membership drive and SC Chapter member support for the successful  GMIS 2006 International Conference.  The first recognition of this award was presented to South Carolina Chapter President Mike Garon at the Charleston GMIS International conference.
